Researching Your Patriot
Let’s get you on the path to search your family ancestry – possibly you are well on your way down this path. We want to help you find the resources that will make this easy for you.
Do you have an American Revolutionary Patriot in your family? Has a relative joined in the past? DAR members share a common bond of lineal descent from Patriots of the American Revolution, and a desire to honor their memory.
Joining the DAR does not require a complete family tree. It will help if you have some knowledge of your family ancestry or roots. At a minimum, you will need to gather documents for yourself, your parents, grandparents, and possibly even your great grandparents.
