Membership

DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization. DAR is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America’s future through better education. It consists of over 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the world. DAR consists of energetic, active women who exemplify the heart of our organization.

Prospective members should have birth, marriage, and death certificates (where applicable) for the first three generations to begin the application process. Our registrar will be happy to assist you.
